A four-day private walking trek through the great Erg Chegaga — Morocco's wildest and most remote dune sea, far south of Zagora. Starting from Mhamid, you walk each day with a Berber guide while camels carry the water, food and camp gear. Nights are spent in nomadic bivouacs at Sidi Naji, the Ezzahar dunes and Kriaat Jmal — dinner cooked on the fire, stargazing and traditional music under the sky. A fully private two-day ascent of Jebel Toubkal (4,167 m) — the highest summit in North Africa — from Marrakech. Day one drives you through Asni and the Berber villages to Imlil, where you meet your local mountain guide and hike up to the Toubkal refuge at 3,200 m. Day two starts before dawn for the summit push: a rocky ascent to a panoramic ridge overlooking the entire High Atlas, then a long descent to Imlil and transfer back to Marrakech. A serious but achievable trek for anyone in good hiking shape — no technical climbing required.
